Here’s Looking At You, Unify Tech ’15

Here’s Looking At You, Unify Tech ’15

Our annual cross-screen summit, Unify Tech ‘15, covered a lot of ground last week.

No conference would be complete without at least one breaking news item. Ours? The launch of Tapad’s TV Pulse, our unified, cross-device measurement capability leveraging linear TV data. Here’s how our CEO, Are Traasdahl, put it: “Television has long lived in its own ecosystem, leaving marketers to question where it fits in a holistic, cross-screen strategy. With TV Pulse, marketers can now have a truly unified view into their campaigns.”

The response, particularly from agencies and brands? Stoked.  Here’s Laurel Boyd, VP and Group Digital Media Director at Mediahub: “Television advertising is a crucial portion of the marketing mix for our clients. The ability to leverage cross-device insights through linear TV data is a huge value-add…”  Read all about TV Pulse here.

We also heard from former Kraft CMO Deanie Elsner, who delivered a frank and illuminating keynote, sounding the alarm for CMOs everywhere not to miss the changes in how consumers are purchasing products, and to keep up with their rapid digital adoption (full video here).

Other Unify Tech ‘15 highlights:

  • Stuart Elliott, long-time New York Times ad columnist shared some of his favorite creative (video) and led a spirited chat on creative and content (video)
  • MEC’s Bruce Kiernan discussed innovation (and 90’s hip hop) in a 1:1 Fireside Chat with our CEO, Are Traasdahl (video)
  • We commissioned artist-rendered graphic representations of all the on-stage action (link to art) and a really great visual representation of the ‘The blind men and the elephant’ parable, which Are used in his opening remarks (video)
